Childhood and Family: At the age of three I already wanted to Ski Jump. In my childhood I didn’t really do anything but Alpine ski because I’m the nephew of Ken Read, so I had to. My dad, Ron Read, and my mother, Laura Read, also made me ski. Now my brother and I always have races, but of course I’m the extreme one so I always win.
Hobbies: In my free time I like to go alpine skiing, skateboarding and mountain biking
Sport Hero: Adam Malysz – he is able to prepare himself mentally and physically to jump very well
Became the first Canadian to earn world ranking points in ski jumping since Horst Bulau in 1991... Finished 15th in the Men's LH Team event at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, ITA... Finished 12th in the Men's LH Team event at the 2007 World Ski Championships in Sapporo, JPM... Earned four top-30 finishes total during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.

Day 12 February 17 - I guess the Olympic weather gods aren't in Sestriere at the moment. The weather lately hasn't been like when we first arrived. It is snowing very had and the wind has picked up big time. Lucky for us we have an underground tunnel that connects every building in the village, except the cafeteria, that we can walk through and don't get stuck walking through the snow and wind.
